This volume contains a history of the armoury and an account of how the collection, threatened by dispersion at auction, was saved for the British nation in the 1980s. It includes a full catalogue of the contents of the armoury, featuring the single most important group of mid-17th century English military guns in existence and the largest surviving group of buff leather equipment in the world.

Please ensure that someone is available at the delivery address to receive your order. Any undelivered or uncollected parcels will be returned to sender. We will automatically issue a refund for all products once they have been received back at the museum, however, shipping is non-refundable.

Collect in store

If you choose to collect in store, we will send you a notification once your order is ready to collect. Collections can be made from the shop at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds during opening hours. You will be required to show your order confirmation email and a form of ID for the name on the order. Limited short stay, road-side parking is available on Clarence Road or Citipark operate the nearby Leeds Dock multi-storey car park. Please note that parking charges may apply.

International shipping outside the UK

All international orders will be sent by courier. The estimated delivery time for European deliveries is 7-10 working days*** and 10-14 working days*** for rest of the world, however this is not guaranteed.
