The katana sword is one of the traditionally made Japanese weapons that were used by the samurai of feudal Japan. The sword has a distinctive appearance and features a curved, slender, single-edged blade with a squared hand guard and long grip to accommodate two hands.
The original katana design was a response to a new type of close-combat warfare where speed and agility were key to defeating your enemy in battle. The design of the sheath meant the samurai could draw the sword and strike his enemy in one single motion ensuring a quick end to the fight.

Please note that it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that there is someone available at the delivery address to accept the parcel. Any parcels that are undelivered, due to nobody being available at the delivery address or incorrect address being provided, or subsequently uncollected from pick-up location, will be returned to sender. We will automatically issue a refund for all products once they have been received back at the museum, however, the cost paid for shipping is non-refundable.
Age verification
All sales of replica blades, replica firearms and alcohol require age verification, therefore, these can only be sent with the Parcelforce Age Check service (24 or 48).
Collect in store
If you choose to collect in store, we will send you a notification once your order is ready to collect. Collections can be made from the shop at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds during opening hours. You will be required to show your order confirmation email and a form of ID for the name on the order. Limited short stay, road-side parking is available on Clarence Road or Citipark operate the nearby Leeds Dock multi-storey car park. Please note that parking charges may apply.
International shipping outside the UK
All international orders will be sent by courier. The estimated delivery time for European deliveries is 7-10 working days*** and 10-14 working days*** for rest of the world, however this is not guaranteed.
