Made to look as realistic as a plastic helmet can, this pigface helm is burnished silver with burnished gold edging and detailing around the visor and bottom of the helmet.
This pigface helm is not just good looking though, it has been manufactured from flexible polyurethane that is perfect for rough play, being built to withstand the battles that any brave knight may face.
The durable polyurethane composition means that this kid's pigface helmet is virtually indestructible, the helmet will still return to its original shaper even if it accidentally gets stood or sat on, to give you hours of high quality use.
The visor on the helmet pivots upwards like a real knight's helm giving the wearer a chance to look at their opponent and their surroundings before sliding it down and charging into battle.
When the visor is lowered the helmet has two slits to see through as well as small holes to allow peripheral vision for safety.
The pigface helm (also known as the bascinet helmet) was a popular choice of armour in both the late 14th and early 15th centuries.
The visor is pointed which gave rise to the nickname 'pigface' and 'dogface'.
The unique shape of the helmet means that the 'point' or 'muzzle' would provide additional deflection from the face of the wearer.
Although this helmet has primarily been designed for use by children, the generous size means that it will fit the heads of some adults.

Please note that it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that there is someone available at the delivery address to accept the parcel. Any parcels that are undelivered, due to nobody being available at the delivery address or incorrect address being provided, or subsequently uncollected from pick-up location, will be returned to sender. We will automatically issue a refund for all products once they have been received back at the museum, however, the cost paid for shipping is non-refundable.
Age verification
All sales of replica blades, replica firearms and alcohol require age verification, therefore, these can only be sent with the Parcelforce Age Check service (24 or 48).
Collect in store
If you choose to collect in store, we will send you a notification once your order is ready to collect. Collections can be made from the shop at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds during opening hours. You will be required to show your order confirmation email and a form of ID for the name on the order. Limited short stay, road-side parking is available on Clarence Road or Citipark operate the nearby Leeds Dock multi-storey car park. Please note that parking charges may apply.
International shipping outside the UK
All international orders will be sent by courier. The estimated delivery time for European deliveries is 7-10 working days*** and 10-14 working days*** for rest of the world, however this is not guaranteed.
