Bring the might of the Rohirrim into your home with this officially licensed replica of the helm of King Théoden. 

This finely detailed helmet is an official replica of the helmet worn by Bernard Hill during the filming of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Since J. R. R. Tolkien was heavily inspired by Anglo-Saxon culture when creating the kingdom of Rohan, the helmet is reminiscent of the famous Sutton Hoo helmet found in Suffolk. The main difference is the addition of horse imagery, as Rohan can be translated as “Land of the Horse-lords.” 

Exquisitely rendered in intricate detail, this helmet is crafted from a mix of reinforced polyresin and genuine leather, with moulded details and colouring. It features a leather chin strap detail. While it cannot be worn, it is sure to impress with its incredible detail.

The base of this helmet is intricately designed, inspired by the matching armor of Théoden. Each helmet is marked with a unique serial number on a metal medallion and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Collect in store

  • Collections can be made from the shop at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds during opening hours.
  • You will be notified via email once your order is ready for collection.
  • Once you receive this notification, we will hold your order for 30 days.
  • Please bring your order confirmation and ID that matches the name on the order.
  • Limited short stay, road-side parking is available on Clarence Road or Citipark operate the nearby Leeds Dock multi-storey car park. Please note that parking charges may apply.
