Yoroi Chakuyo Order of Armour
These products have been inspired by the creative arts of Asia, drawing on the intricate craftsmanship, detailing and patterns found on the many items in our collection that were made on the world’s largest continent.
This design features an early 19th century copy of 'Yoroi Chakuyo shidai' showing the sequence of putting on an armour and arming a warrior, from undergarments to bow and arrow.
Originally form a woodblock printed folding book, with two 'pages' of text and eight and a half double spread illustrations.
