Persian chain maille zip clip

Chain Maille Zip Clip - Persian

£8.99

Featuring a distinctive design style known as a Persian weave, this intricate zip clip accessory is formed of interlocking chains. It is handcrafted in the UK using techniques traditionally employed in the construction of chain maille armour.

Chain maille (sometimes written as chain-mail) is an ancient form of armour that was in common use as early as the 3rd century BCE. It remained in use up until the 16th century CE in Europe, and even later in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. This keyring doubles as an homage to this centuries-long tradition, a small slice of history that you can carry around everywhere.

This range is made from stainless steel, a strong and durable metal particularly resistant to tarnishing or general wear and tear.

A larger version of this design is also available as a keyring.
