Centrefire self-loading pistol Astra Model 4000 Falcon Presentation Model

Astra Model 4000 Falcon Postcard

£1

Engraving decoration into this pistol was hard work because there are almost no flat surfaces.

The engraver follows the shape of the weapon, expertly engraving the curved surfaces. High-end versions were offered with chrome or silver plating, this one being the more expensive silver option.

Despite this the grips are made of a plastic material called 'Pearlite' instead of a more expensive mother of pearl.
