Templar Sword - Deluxe
The Templar Sword is a product of the world famous Art Gladius factory in the historic sword manufacturing city of Toledo, Spain.
The “Deluxe” range of swords have a much more decorated finish than their plain counterparts. The hilt fittings and grips are painted with bright enamel paint to accentuate the details of the intricate designs
It features the words SIGILLUM MILITUM TEMPLI XPISTI (Seal of the Knights of Christ) emblazoned around the pommel encircling a Templar Cross with knotwork decoration.
The guard also features the Cross Pattée and heraldic imagery on the quillons, and the “Two Knights on One Horse” (said to symbolise the poverty of the order) symbol at the centre of the guard. The handle also features Christian symbology and a black textured grip. The stainless steel blade features etched heraldic designs. This item has a blunt blade and is manufactured for display only.
The Knights Templar Order was established in 1118 to ensure the custody of the Holy places and to protect the pilgrimage routes. The Knights Templar Order reached its peak in the 13th Century. The Knights Templar considered themselves as knights of God, protectors of the church and Christianity. Their motto was:"NON NOBIS, DOMINE, NON NOBIS, SED TUO NOMINI DA GLORIAM". "Give Glory, not for us, God, not for us, but for your name".
The medieval Knights Templar fought alongside King Richard I (Richard The Lion Hearted) and other Crusaders in the battles for the Holy Lands.

Please note that it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that there is someone available at the delivery address to accept the parcel. Any parcels that are undelivered, due to nobody being available at the delivery address or incorrect address being provided, or subsequently uncollected from pick-up location, will be returned to sender. We will automatically issue a refund for all products once they have been received back at the museum, however, the cost paid for shipping is non-refundable.
Age verification

Collect in store
If you choose to collect in store, we will send you a notification once your order is ready to collect. Collections can be made from the shop at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds during opening hours. You will be required to show your order confirmation email and a form of ID for the name on the order. Limited short stay, road-side parking is available on Clarence Road or Citipark operate the nearby Leeds Dock multi-storey car park. Please note that parking charges may apply.
International shipping outside the UK
All international orders will be sent by courier. The estimated delivery time for European deliveries is 7-10 working days*** and 10-14 working days*** for rest of the world, however this is not guaranteed.
