This design

From the Alison Hardcastle and the Royal Armouries collaborative range. 

Each card is based around or taken directly from exhibits, archives and photographs researched by Alison at the museum and features text on the reverse which places each design within the Museum’s collection.

  • Each card measures 10.5cm x 14.7cm
  • Printed on 280 gsm uncoated paper stock
  • Packed in a clear bag with a coordinating envelope

Alisons process

We take great pride in our hands-on process and all designs are created by Alison and start with pen, paper, ink, brush and scalpel. The resulting unique style complete with it’s beautiful irregularities combines hand rendered illustrations and type with a clean bold colour palette and a touch of humour. We like to make people smile and think and we love our designs to show that they’ve been created by hand.

Our products

We pride ourselves on keeping production UK based using high quality printers and then all products are lovingly finished, packed and despatched from our studio. Prints are all hand silk screen printed by Alison in our print studio.

All card, envelopes and paper stock are FSC accredited and we use vegetable based inks.


Any small amount of waste incurred from our small business is recycled locally or reused by ourselves. We re-use packaging where possible and have a small carbon footprint by using local businesses and services where possible.

Not completely happy with your order?

You can return or exchange unwanted items up to 35 days after purchase.

The only items that we cannot accept are earrings for pierced ears and perishable items, such as food or drink.

Return postage and fees

If the item is unwanted or you cancel an order that has already been dispatched the return postage costs will be incurred by the customer.

If the item is faulty or you have been sent the wrong item then the postage cost will be incurred by the Royal Armouries. To ensure that you are refunded the correct amount please get a receipt from the post office and send us a copy via email, by either scanning the receipt or taking a photograph.

We recommend that you do get proof of postage for all items that you post to us as we are unable to take responsibility for returns that go missing in the post.
