Glamdring sword replica letter opener

£39.99

Only 3 pieces in stock!

Forged by the High elves of the west for the Goblin-wars, Glamdring or 'Foe-hammer', was once the sword worn by king of Gondolin.

Carried by Gandalf, Glamdring was rediscovered in the lair of three trolls alongside its mates Orcrist and Sting in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Nicknamed 'Beater' by the Orcs, Glamdring was a powerful and mystical weapon and being the work of Elvish smiths all three swords shone with light if any Orcs were nearby.

Designed by Ben Wootten, Glamdring was brought to life for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey at the Weta Workshop in New Zealand by master Swordsmith Peter Lyon.

Like Gandalf, you can wield your own Glamdring with this exquisite prop replica letter opener by The Nobel Collection. Encased in a wooden presentation box decorated with gold inlay letters and engraved-effect corners it's the perfect collector's item.

Both beautiful and functional; with its sleek and accurate design this high quality metal letter opener would make a fantastic gift for any Hobbit or Tolkien fan.
