William Wallace sword letter opener
This miniature replica sword has a stainless steel blade, cross guard and crown-shaped pommel. The grip that spans the paper knife's hilt, between the pommel and cross guard, is a matt, textured black with two ridges. The simplicity of the design gives this letter opener an understated, classy look and feel.
William Wallace is remembered as a Scottish national hero in Scotland for his many successes against England; the most notable being that at Stirling Bridge in 1297. He became one of the highest profile leaders during the Wars of Scottish Independence before being captured and executed by Edward I for treason. As the majority of Wallace's early life is undocumented, there is still some mystery surrounding his origins; some believe he was born into a gentry family in the Scottish town of Elderslie.
This mini sword is a fully functioning letter opener and paper knife, but combined with our mini sword stand it doubles as a fantastic display piece for any Scottish History buff. All our letter openers come in presentation boxes, making them great gifts. In this instance, lovers of the film Braveheart and admirers of Scottish history alike will appreciate this paper knife.
Please note that the William Wallace sword letter opener does not come with a stand. Paper knife stands can be purchased separately. Please see stand information for guidance on which stands and knives are compatible.
