This pistol is a replica of an18th century European 'blunderbuss' flintlock pistols.
Beautifully crafted from wood, with barrel and forniments in burnished cast metal, this replica 17th century 'blunderbuss' flintlock pistol embodies quality and attention to detail.
As well as a flared muzzle to spread its shot, this version is extensively decorated, with a butt-cap that resembles those of late 18th century British military pistols.
At 37 cm in length this is a life sized reproduction piece that feels reassuringly weighty to hold.
The zinc-alloy used in this 18th Century European 'blunderbuss' flintlock pistol replica is softer than the steel and brass that the barrel and lock components would have originally been forged in.
Although this European 18th century flintlock pistol has been made from materials that are unsuitable for use in real firearms, the firing mechanism does work and the pistol makes a satisfying “clink" when the trigger is pulled.
With it working firing mechanism this reproduction pistol would make an ideal prop for stage and TV performances.
The pistol comes in original packaging, with an information booklet that explains in summary the history of pistols and the impact they had on society in XVIth – XVII centuries.

Please note that it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that there is someone available at the delivery address to accept the parcel. Any parcels that are undelivered, due to nobody being available at the delivery address or incorrect address being provided, or subsequently uncollected from pick-up location, will be returned to sender. We will automatically issue a refund for all products once they have been received back at the museum, however, the cost paid for shipping is non-refundable.
Age verification
All sales of replica blades, replica firearms and alcohol require age verification, therefore, these can only be sent with the Parcelforce Age Check service (24 or 48).
Collect in store
If you choose to collect in store, we will send you a notification once your order is ready to collect. Collections can be made from the shop at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds during opening hours. You will be required to show your order confirmation email and a form of ID for the name on the order. Limited short stay, road-side parking is available on Clarence Road or Citipark operate the nearby Leeds Dock multi-storey car park. Please note that parking charges may apply.
International shipping outside the UK
All international orders will be sent by courier. The estimated delivery time for European deliveries is 7-10 working days*** and 10-14 working days*** for rest of the world, however this is not guaranteed.
