Official Prop Replicas

Glamdring collector edition sword replica hilt on display plaque

The swords of Tolkien’s world are often more than just weapons – they’re symbols, encapsulating all that their bearers represent. As such, there’s little that a Lord of the Rings fan could want more than Sting, wielded by Frodo and Bilbo, or Glamdring, the famed sword of Gandalf. Both of these, along with Orcrist from The Hobbit, have legendary origins, dating back to the First Age of Middle-earth and the hidden Elven city of Gondolin. The Royal Armouries online shop has the officially licensed replicas for these swords and more, each one coming with a Certificate of Authenticity. And if swords aren’t your thing, why not pick up Gimli’s axe, or the staff of Gandalf the Grey

Doors of Durin Keybox

lord of the rings keybox open

“Speak, friend, and enter.”

We all have that one friend who’s always losing their keys. With this keybox they can store them all neatly together behind the famous Doors of Durin, also known as the Hollin Gate or West-gate of Moria. It comes with two anchors for easy wall hanging, and the doors pop open with an easy push mechanism, so you won’t need to answer a riddle to get in. True to the Doors of Durin’s ability to be illuminated by starlight, the design on the key safe also uses luminescent ink, meaning it will glow in the dark.

Modelled on the flets of the mallorn trees in which the Elves of Lothlórien live, this beautiful resin candle holder can add a touch of elven magic to any home. The frosted glass top holds a variety of candle sizes and can be used to hold water and floating candles.

The Argonath Bookends

Lavishly hand-painted and intricately detailed, these replicas of the famous Argonath sculptures (as seen in The Lord of the Rings movies) are a fantastic edition to any fan’s collection of Tolkien books or Lord of the Rings DVDs. The details are what makes them so special: there’s the statues of Isildur and Elendil (no Anárion in the films!), the latter holding the sword Narsil (later to be reforged as Andúril), as well as the blue waters of the Anduin river at their feet, and even clever environmental details like the marks in the cliff wall where the stone for the sculptures has been quarried.

Letter Openers

The Hobbit Letter Opener Set of three in wooden display box

Unfortunately, there’s very few desks out there large enough to accommodate a full-sized replica weapon, but how about a smaller version of your favourite Lord of the Rings sword, complete with a wooden display box? These letter openers can also be used to easily tear open any envelope, so they’re practical to boot.
